Codeworks GameHorizon

Codeworks GameHorizon is a regional business network for the videogames sector in North East England.

The North East employs nine percent of the UK's games workforce and, as such, is a significant player in the multibillion-dollar global videogames industry.

GameHorizon works closely with the developers, animators, audio studios and scriptwriters in North East England to ensure the region's thriving sector remains at the top of its game in this hyper competitive marketplace.

The organisation supports the North East's games sector in three key areas:

  • International business – developing international trade opportunities for the region's games companies
  • Skills – retaining and developing the talent that exists in the region
  • Showcasing – raising the profile of the region's games industry

GameHorizon is backed supported by an advisory board that features representatives from some of the biggest names in the games industry, such as format holders Microsoft and Sony, world leading graphics company Nvidia, and publisher Empire Interactive.
